Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
I am convinced that the reason that abortion [“Nearly half of pregnancies among American women are unintended, and four in 10 of these are terminated by abortion. Twenty-two percent of all pregnancies (excluding miscarriages) end in abortion.”], murder, domestic violence, human trafficking, etc. exists is because the lack of value allotted to the lives of human beings. Jesus came so that all individuals may have life. And he says that he indeed is life! He came so that we can have him! To know him and to be known by him. To love him and be loved by him, therefore to know is to love. I believe that when we know Jesus and what he’s done for us that we will know not only our own worth, but the worth and the value of all others. When we love Jesus and love what he’s done for us, we will love ourselves and love others. God is love. God is Jesus. Jesus is life. Life is love. When we know life, we know love. And when we know love, pursue love, and love in all that we do and say…we cannot sin! Love trumps sin: greed, lust, envy, pride, and more!
In Jesus we know that young and old…women [oldest injustice in human history] and men…regardless of race, ethnicity, and background…were made in the beautiful image of God. May we all know the love of Jesus Christ and be awakened to the truth, the way and the life. May his kingdom come and the fullness of his love and character be known in all the world!
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” 1 John 4:7-12
